Academic Services at the Engineering Society

Welcome to the Skule Academics website.

The University of Toronto Engineering Society provides many valuable Academic services to our students, these include:

Career Centre

The Engineering Career Office and the PEY Office merged in 2006 to become the Engineering Career Centre (ECC). Engineering students currently pay a Career Centre Levy which directly funds a portion of the Engineering Career Centre's operations. The goal of the ECC is to give all Engineering students a chance to participate in a formalized development process and ultimately obtain career experience and exposure to their undergraduate education.

The Engineering Career Centre runs many services:
- PEY program
- eSIP program
- Career Information Day: Career Fair held in September in partnership with the University of TOronto Career Centre
- Developmental Workshops
- Career and Job Search Counseling

Online Past Exams Database

This online resource is a collection of past final exams administered by the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. Students are encouraged to make use of this resource to prepare for their final exams. This service is being offered in partnership with the Faculty and can be found at http://exams.skule.ca

Course Critique Website

This resource is to offer students a candid impression of classes that are offered within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering and to help upper year students choose between technical electives.

At the end of every term, students have an opportunity to evaluate their courses and offer their opinions and suggestions on how to improve them. Information from these surveys will be posted for each course and open to all students for viewing. This service is being offered in partnership with the Faculty.

The Course Critique website is a work in progress and we hope to have our first results posted for Fall 2009 courses.

Tutor Exchange

This resource provides a place to find an opportunity to help, and be helped with, courses. Any Engineering students may list themselves as available for tutoring with specific courses. At the same time, any Engineering students may contact the tutor for requesting help.

University of Toronto Engineering Society Career Fair

Advocacy

Class Representatives represent the collective student voice of their respective constituency specific to their year of study and discipline. Should any academic issues arise that affect the class as a whole, students are encouraged to consult their class reps so they may bring them up to an appropriate decision-making body.
